My Favorite Things

I'm in such a jovial mood, I just watched the Sound of Music Reunion on Oprah. I'm not really an Oprah fan, but when I heard about the Von Trapps I HAD to watch. This has to be my favorite movie and if you don't get why that is, I feel soo sorry for you. I'm pretty sure my life will not be complete until I do the Sound of Music tour....(which my little sister just got back from Europe doing - for some reason she decided to break our deal and go without me!!!) Okay on to the kiddos. Let's see....

Just busy growing more curls. The little lady has voiced her first words: mama, dada, hi, vroom vroom (that is a word in our house), and some form of "ball." She firmly believes in scooting not crawling, and enjoys stealing the brother's chocolate milk as often as is possible.

The man cub has fallen in love with his bike and spends every moment possible riding through "jungle paths and desert paths." Current conversations with him revolve around reciting the letter sounds, discussing the train tracks he wants for Christmas, and marveling at the flashlight Jesus is using to light up the sun (some family home evening lesson apparently got a little off).

We have also recently enjoyed the magic of the first snow storm. We sat next to the window all morning in our P.J.s staring at the winter wonderland and trying to understand why it really wasn't Christmas morning yet.
