Poison Control

Well I've earned another parent merit badge today. Jackson thought sampling hand sanitizer might be fun. I have to say the poison control folks are rather nice....assuming nobody shows up at my door to investigate my ability to mother after this. And yes, he has survived.

Isn't it a little scary the first time you call? Especially when they ask for all your contact information. Madelyn bit into a sleeping pill one time and I had to call. Glad everything is okay! We need to see more pictures of your cute kids--and especially little Grace! I bet she's changed so much.

Aren't they the nicest!? I think I've chatted with them 3 or 4 times--toothpaste, coins, this gravel stuff oh and bleach (I caught him spraying bleach and water in his face, why it was out? I had just got done cleaning up one of his blowouts...busy day) AND I have yet to see a social worker at my door. So no worries!

Oh dear! It must be a rite of parenthood....I know when I was young my parents called at least twice for me- I ate the leaf of a velvet something or other plant/weed, and I got into my grandpa's whiskey :S Needless to say, my parents had their fair share of poison control calls...although...they never called when I ate flies...I guess they just though -protein?!

Hand sanitizer is scary since it can make them drunk if they get enough of it.
I had to call a couple times because I was worried when Henry ate my chapstick...not such a thing to worry about though since it is basically vaseline.
